Gia Brazil Vacin
Gia Brazil Vacin is the Founder and President of Brazil Vacin Consulting, with 15 years of professional experience in environmental science and management, including 13 years in consulting.
Her expertise is in project management, strategic planning, communications, fundraising, and facilitation, with topical expertise in coastal and ocean resources management and sustainability planning and implementation.
Gia has worked with more than 70 organizations, including the Ocean Conservancy, California Coastkeeper Alliance, The Nature Conservancy, Environmental Defense Fund, Wildlife Conservation Society, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Marine Applied Research & Exploration, Resources Legacy Fund, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, Oak Foundation, and Stanford University.
She holds a master’s degree in environmental science and management with specializations in Coastal and Marine Resources Management and Corporate Environmental Management from the Bren School (UC Santa Barbara) and bachelor’s degrees in biology and environmental studies from UC Santa Cruz.
