Giovanni Bearzi

Giovanni Bearzi, Pew Marine Conservation Fellow, Ph.D., has been conducting dolphin research since 1986. He founded and directed for a decade a dolphin research and conservation program in Croatia, which was awarded the Henry Ford European Conservation Award as best European project.

He is President of Dolphin Biology and Conservation and a Research associate with Texas A&M University and OceanCare.

Giovanni has authored about 150 scientific contributions, action plans for cetaceans and other work intended to support marine conservation action.
