Here is our Summer Newsletter and Fundraiser: “Creating the Whale Sanctuary.”
It includes:
- Progress at the Sanctuary Site: engineering work, infrastructure, planning and permits, fundraising for capital costs, potential whale candidates for the sanctuary and timeline going forward.
- Our Current Whale Aid Program in support of the orca Tokitae (better known by her stage name “Lolita”) at the Miami Seaquarium.
- Outreach and Education: with a remarkable art show by talented and energized 4th and 5th-grade students in Texas.

Your support of the Whale Sanctuary Project makes all of this work possible. Very simply we cannot build the sanctuary, welcome the whales, and give them lifelong care without your continuing support. There is much work yet to be done. And the plight of whales in tanks at entertainment parks and aquariums only makes for greater urgency.
Please donate what you can. Your donation, large or small, and one-time or preferably monthly, makes an enormous difference.
And please contact us if you can consider making a special contribution toward the capital costs of the sanctuary.
Thank you for caring about the whales. Together, we can give them a new life that makes up, as much as possible, for what went before.
