Munchkin Donation in Memory of Tilikum

Posted January 6, 2017 in News by Michael Mountain

Shortly after the announcement from SeaWorld, this morning, that Tilikum the orca had died, we had a call from Steven Dunn, the CEO of Munchkin Inc.

Munchkin is well-known by parents everywhere for its innovative, modern and credible products for babies and children. And among the company’s social justice programs is its Project Orca.

Steven wanted us to know that the company is donating all proceeds from its sales through the end of this weekend to The Whale Sanctuary Project in memory of Tilikum.

Munchkin is already the principal sponsor of The Whale Sanctuary Project, and  is dedicated to seeing captive whales retired to seaside sanctuaries.

Many thanks to Steven and all his colleagues at Munchkin. It’s a sad day for all of us, but Tilikum will live in all our hearts as we work to create the first seaside sanctuary for whales and dolphins.
