NPR Interview with Dr. Lori Marino

Posted June 27, 2016 in Learn More by Whale Sanctuary Project

In this NPR interview on KTEP radio, Dr. Lori Marino, President of The Whale Sanctuary Project, discusses the scientific evidence for how dolphins and whales fare in concrete tanks.

She explains that opinions and feelings are no longer relevant since the scientific findings are overwhelming that cetaceans cannot thrive in concrete tanks. There is no longer a debate about whether dolphins and whales do well at theme parks and aquariums. The fact is they don’t.

The National Aquarium has realized this, and now it is up to the rest of the industry to do the same.
