The sanctuary will occupy roughly a hundred acres of water space in Port Hilford Bay, Nova Scotia. In the following videos, you can see different views of this wonderful location. It will be a truly unique new home for whales being retired from entertainment parks.
Charles Vinick, our Executive Director, narrates as Greg Cross lifts his drone off the wharf and along the shore, before heading out over the bay, and then back to the wharf.
Charles takes us on a tour of the sanctuary site from the work boat.
Charles walks along the shore to give a rough idea of where the main buildings and infrastructure will be.
The head of the bay is in the distance as the drone sweeps around to the sanctuary site, with a view of Barachois Island and the wharf, before turning back toward the head of the bay.
